Introduction to the Lighthouse
Cybersecurity Lighthouse is a self-paced online course designed to introduce learners to the essential concepts, risks, and good practices of cybersecurity.

The course provides a practical overview of the contemporary cyber threat landscape and helps participants understand how everyday decisions and behaviours can influence digital security. Through short learning units, real-life examples, interactive activities, and knowledge checks, participants will explore key cybersecurity topics and learn how to recognise common threats and respond to them appropriately.

The course covers areas such as cyber threats and vulnerabilities, password and account security, phishing and social engineering, safe use of devices and networks, data protection, online privacy, malware, incident awareness, and responsible behaviour in the digital environment.

The course is intended for learners who do not require an advanced technical background. Its focus is on developing cybersecurity awareness and practical habits that can be applied in both professional and personal contexts.

By the end of the course, participants should be able to identify common cybersecurity risks, recognise potentially malicious activities, apply basic cybersecurity practices, and make more informed decisions when using digital technologies.

The course consists of 11 thematic topics followed by a final knowledge assessment.
